Chief Investment Officer
StJohn is the manager of Sandaire’s investment strategy, leading the team in the allocation of clients capital to the various asset markets and the analysis and selection of investments. He is also the developer of the proposition, utilising both his 14 years experience building the wealth management business at Arbuthnot Latham Private Bank where he was Managing Director and Head of Investment Management, and his 7 years running the Managed Fund Service at Merrill Lynch. StJohn worked briefly at Finsbury Asset Management after his MBA which followed his early career managing underwriting capital as a Director of several Lloyd’s of London Members Agencies.
We are in the business of at least meeting, if not exceeding, our clients expectations. Within the world of investment, this means providing our clients with a professionally thought through estimation of likely future returns for their risk appetite and objectives, deliverable via our advised asset allocation to equities, private equity, government & corporate bonds, property, hedge funds and / or other liquid assets.
By varying that central allocation, in a controlled way through time to ensure the objectives are met, returns can be enhanced and risks mitigated, whilst our carefully chosen independent fund managers seek to outperform their markets through active stock selection. StJohn has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, Fellowships of the Chartered Securities & Investment Institute and the Chartered Insurance Institute, and a Diploma from the Personal Finance Society.
Through strong governance, StJohn will continue to evolve and improve Sandaire’s investment process, leveraging his Investment Committee to optimise returns for clients within a tightly managed risk framework. StJohn has travelled the world extensively and in particular enjoys rowing our European rivers.
