Warwick succeeded Alex Scott as Chairman in August 2017. He joined Sandaire at a significant time in the development of the business, as Alex’s involvement transitioned from founder and manager to engaged owner. Warwick brings with him extensive experience in private banking and a strong track record in business-building.
Sandaire is built upon the belief that no one understands their clients like we do. We know, first-hand, the complex challenges of achieving long-term, sustainable wealth. Its rewards as well as its responsibilities.
Warwick started his banking career at Coutts where he held various positions both in Switzerland and in the UK. He was appointed Head of Coutts Private Banking in 1990. He moved to Hambros Bank Limited in 1997 as their first Head of Private Banking, becoming Group Chief Executive of SG Hambros following Société Générale’s acquisition of Hambros Bank in February 1998. On 1st October 2007, Warwick Newbury became Chairman of SG Hambros Bank Limited (now Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited) and retired from this position on the 6th November 2018.
After 20 years leading the development of wealth management at Hambros Warwick is now looking forward to working with Alex Scott and supporting all the Sandaire team as it continues to evolve and grow.
