‘CSR’ or ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ is a broad concept that can take many forms, depending on the type of company and industry. Volunteer efforts, CSR programmes and philanthropy are some of the ways in which a company can engage and operate to enhance society and the environment around them.

At Sandaire, ‘More to Wealth’ is a phrase which the company has lived by and explored since the first in a series of lectures on the topic in 2012. Each year we select a panel of guests for our clients and friends of the firm, each with very different views and experience when it comes to the definition of ‘wealth’. As has already been announced, this year, on 12th September 2018, our ‘More to Wealth’ lecture will take us to Kensington Palace, where our panel will be dedicating the evening to philanthropy.

Our Service Excellence Initiative Committee has been taking on CSR as a regular topic of conversation here at Sandaire. Their first initiative of fundraising activities will be an internal fundraising event, in which five staff members will be battling head to head on Watt Bikes to qualify for the final team, in preparation for our attendance at the Velodrome Challenge on the 10th of October.

Sandaire has entered a team of four people who will join Victoria Pendleton, Gordon Ramsay and others to spend the day cycling as a team at top speeds around the Velodrome competing for the winning title.

Our internal fundraiser and the Velodrome challenge are both in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. The hospital is a cause which has a special place in many people’s hearts and has been doing phenomenal work since they first opened their doors on Valentine’s Day in 1852, with only ten beds.

Every day, over 600 children and young people from across the UK arrive at GOSH. Doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential and provide a better and brighter future for them.

Sandaire is delighted to be supporting this special cause and we will be keeping you posted in the coming months on the progress of our team, leading up to the main event in October, as well as the results of our internal fundraiser.
